The Charles H. Taylor in Hampton, VA celebrates 100 years this February.
In 1925, a trust was created as a living memorial to General Charles H. Taylor, founder and former managing editor of the Boston Globe. The land and building were initially used for the Charles H. Taylor Memorial Library, which served as the central library for Hampton until 1987. In 1989, the building reopened as the Charles H. Taylor Arts Center and in 2018 was renamed The Charles H. Taylor Visual Arts Center to more accurately reflect the mission of Hampton Arts.
On view February 1 through March 22, 2025
